Despite the team relocating to Washington late in 2004, the Montreal Expos franchise continues to be highly collected, with any and all items pertaining to Canada’s first major league club vigourously sought. We have a great group of Expos items totaling 4, with 3 bobble head dolls along with a 1992 game jersey. Included is a pair of late 1960s/early-1970s Expos gold base nodders (different in style), along with a 1980s Expos green base nodder with the original box. One gold base nodder is a pitcher, the other a batter, with each having small chips to the base. There are also hairline cracks to the pitcher, with heavy chipping to his brim along with a few cracks around the chin section. There is also dirt present in spots, especially at the hat and chest logos. The batter has a few small stains on the upper chest, with some heavy cracking to the face. There are also indentations, with loss to the bottom back of the head. The green base nodder has light wear with a few marks, along with a small piece of the back of the head missing. The accompanying box is in good condition, with a fairly clean label. Lastly, the jersey features labeling from Russell over the front tail including a “1992” date swatch and “1 inch Extra Body Length” tag. “Expos” appears across the chest in tackle twill, with the front and reverse numbers in matching material. There is some staining to the jersey in spots, primarily along the collar and over the lower front.
