Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

Representing his hometown Kenora Thistles, Billie McGimsie helped lead the tiny borough to fame and prominence when the Ontario community won the fabled Stanley Cup in 1907. We have a custom-made card featuring an attractive signature cut of McGimsie’s, and it’s been encapsulated as “Authentic” by PSA/DNA. The well-designed card features a striking image of the HOFer on front, with pertinent career information listed on verso. The signature has been executed in ballpoint, and it remains dark and bold. Signatures from century-old HOF players rarely if ever surface, especially from fabled clubs like the Thistles. McGimsie was enshrined in 1963, passing in 1968 at the age of 88.
