Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

The second-highest scoring defenceman in Maple Leafs franchise history, Tomas Kaberle spent a dozen seasons wearing the blue and white before moving on to short stints with Boston, Carolina and Montreal. This Maple Leafs jersey was worn by the Czech in the "Hall of Fame Game" in 2008-09. CCM labeling sits along the collar, with embroidered Reebok and NHL patches on the back and front neckline respectively. Featuring the Leafs team crest that was first used in 1987, the garment has also been finished with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Kaberle” affixed to the nameplate in oversized letters. We should also note the outline of a former alternate captain’s “A” over the left breast, with the HOF Game crest over the right breast. Just a few board burns are present over the left shoulder and elbow, along with a few small stains on the team crest that are most likely not from game-use. A MeiGray patch numbered “F02094” sits over the inside hem, and according to their population report, the garment is a "Blue Set 1 and HHOF Game on Nov, 8, 2008 - "A" Removed" example.
