Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Canadiens and Maple Leafs once again starred for Parkhurst in 1958-59, with this group attractive to some, exhibiting lighter to moderate handling and wear. We count 18 crease-free cards, mostly EX and EX+, (a few commons make it to EX-MT), with Plante (EX (MK)) and Mahovlich (EX+ (ST)) the highlights. All but two of the others include a light or small crease and/or enough corner/edge wear to send them to the VG, VG+ and VG-EX world. Rocket is VG+, Harvey VG-EX and Geoffrion, Beliveau and Horton VG, with considerable toning affecting the latter two. Varying degrees of toning are present in the pieced-together ensemble, although many cards have uniform white backgrounds. Multiple light crease render Henri Richard G, with one lower grade filler; 40-Turner. A Toe Blake card (#9) is required to complete the set, while ten duplicates are #s 6, 10-Johnson, 14, 19 (2), 23-Stanley, 24, 25, 37 and 43.
