Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

One of baseball’s most followed and collected clubs, the Boston Red Sox are the fist team to have won three World Series championships in the 21st century. We have a collection of four game-worn jerseys featuring the boys from Beantown, with examples worn by Tim Lollar in 1985 and 1986, along with a jersey worn by Ramiro Mendoza in 2003 and a Red Sox signed spring training jersey worn by Nick Punto in 2012. The 1985 and ’86 Lollar jerseys are identical in style with Wilson labeling along the front tail including year swatch, with “Boston” arching across the chest in single navy twill, with “48” on verso in matching material. With just some minor staining within the collars, both remain in wonderful condition. The 2003 home example features Russell Athletic labeling over the lower front tail along with a “2003” year swatch and +2 extra length tag. Styled with Red Sox arching across the chest in dual-collar tackle twill, the solid white button-up with red accent piping has “55” on verso in matching tackle twill. The 2012 spring training jersey is in St. Patrick's Day colours with Authentic labeling along with the 100 year Fenway park crest over the right sleeve. Punto has signed within the reverse “5” in black marker, and the signature displays well with minimal bleeding. The jersey itself also exhibits some light dirt staining, most notably over the right sleeve.
