Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Extremely desirable to both puck and memorabilia collectors, we have a 1930s Spalding puck accompanied by its original scarce box. Exactly the same as examples used in the NHL for most of the 1930s up until 1942, this version features identical company logos on both sides, with “Official National League” around the outer edge of the logos. They’re in difficult-to-hope-for-nicer condition while the puck itself is also in excellent shape, with just a few minor blemishes that do nothing to undermine the exceptional display value. The box exhibits expected wear including a few small creases along with minimal paper loss, with the bottom flap detached but present. This example will greatly augment any serious puck holdings.
