Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
The Parkhurst company enlarged its hockey cards for the 1953-54 season and "Giant" cards discovered in wrappers like the one here could have included the desirable rookie card of hockey "giant" Jean Beliveau. Wrapper collectors will find this one desirable, despite three edge tears; inch and half-inch rips affect the upper edge, while the right side includes a one-inch tear. Light toning/staining marks are also to mention. Meanwhile, six intact puck-size coasters from El Producto Cigars and 1962-63 are still in their original accordion-like attached form, with swell color shots of legends Beliveau, Gordie Howe, Dave Keon, Glenn Hall, Henri Richard and Frank Mahovlich enjoyable to check out. A two-inch crease through Richard's forehead is the only unsightly flaw, with evidence at where they're attached of being unfolded and folded numerous times, but the discs are stilling hangin' in there together!
