Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Mostly items from Topps' 1973-74 and '74-75 issues are offered up here, with a '73-74 unopened wax pack a good place to start. It looks to be high grade with no issues, while five team emblem inserts are present, along with two Ken Dryden cards (EX+ (OC), VG+). A Larry Robinson rookie card is actually an O-Pee-Chee and is in stellar NM condition with less than perfect centering. Cloth stickers/items from '74-75 account for the rest of the lot, with a wrapper (tear-free) and four NHL shield puzzle cards joined by 18 different cloth stickers and 11 duplicates. Condition varies with varying degrees of toning front and back observed and few high grade examples. Needed to complete a set are the Scouts, Rangers (both variations), Flyers, Penguins and Blues, with the doubles being the Leafs (2 different), Canadiens (2 diff.), Bruins, Hawks, Wings, North Stars, Seals, Flames and Islanders. Somewhat obscure goodies for a vintage shrine.
Please note that upon preparing this lot for the catalogue and website, our photographer discovered that a total of 17 out of the 29 Topps cloth stickers had adhered (stuck) to the penny sleeves which housed them, negating the aforementioned rundown/description. Stickers affected are: Three Bruins, two each of the Canadiens, North Stars, Islanders and Seals, and singles of the Hawks, Wings, Leafs, Canucks, Sabres and Capitals.
