Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Currently a goaltending coach with the New York Islanders, Fred Brathwaite appeared for four different NHL clubs during his career, with the bulk of his time split in Alberta between Edmonton and Calgary. We have a Syracuse Crunch jersey worn by the Ottawa native during his time in the AHL, 2003-04. SP labeling and a Pro “58G” size tag sit along the collar, with SP and AHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a multi-coloured team crest with embroidered detailing, the polyester mesh has been accented with navy tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with red trim, with “Syracuse” heat-pressed over the lower front hem. A patch for the parent-club Columbus Blue Jackets sits over the left shoulder along with a Crunch 10th anniversary crest over the right, with evidence of a former nameplate. With just a few small and random marks present, the sweater remains in wonderful condition. A team LOA will accompany.
