Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
A gold medal winner with Team Canada at the World Juniors in 2006, Guillaume Latendresse spent parts of 8 seasons in the NHL, with 4 of those skating for the Bleu Blanc Rouge. We have a pair of Canadiens jerseys, with home and away examples worn by the LaSalle native in 2006-07. Each jersey features size tagging along the collar with handwritten “1” (away) and “2” (home), with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Latendresse” across the nameplate of each in single twill. With no discernible use on the home example, game-wear on the road jersey includes small resulting holes from board burns over each shoulder and above the right sleeve’s number, with some paint transfer over the left elbow. A MeiGray patch numbered “D00324” on the Home Set 2 jersey has been affixed to the inside hem, while the “Away Set 1” example features a team patch numbered “A05098”. Holograms have also been affixed to the reverse numbers of each jersey that match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
