Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Considered by many to be the greatest goaltender that was not produced on North American soil, Vladislav Tretiak first came to prominence in the Canadian consciousness while stifling the best the hockey-centric nation could muster during the Summit Series. We have a signed stick used by the HOFer during his time with Russia and the Central Red Army in the early-to-mid-1980s. A KOHO model, “Tretjak” appears on the upper shaft, with the original tape over the blade and knob in place along with the striping accent over the paddle. Light but definite use is visible, with wear to the blade along with a few marks to the paddle. Tretiak has signed across the lower paddle in marker, and the signature appears light/faded.
