Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

Colorful and curious is this classic collectible offered back in the day by Imperial Tobacco, with the early PSA label identifying the C55 example of Larry Gilmour as being from 1910. Presenting well, card #22 exhibits slightly rounded corners, with chipping observed at the bottom two. The "H.L." initials are also intriguing since Gilmour's full name was Charles John "Larry" Gilmour. He skated several years for Renfrew, Ontario teams and when the Creamery Kings ceased to exist in 1911, Gilmour chose to retire instead of joining the Montreal Canadiens, the team to which he had been assigned.
