Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
A pair of Montreal Expos jerseys are here for your collecting consideration, with an example worn by pitcher David Palmer in 1985 along with a signed jersey donned by fielder Cliff Floyd in 1996. The Palmer jersey features a “46 85” swatch along with a “Set 1 1985” tag on the front tail, and it’s been styled with an Expos logo over the left breast, with “46” on front and verso. The Floyd jersey features Russell labeling along with extra body and sleeve length tags. Styled with “Expos” scripted across the chest in dual-colour tackle twill, the button-up has been accented with front and verso numbers in matching material, along with a Jackie Robinson 50th anniversary crest over the right sleeve. The proceeds from this sale will go to the Kat D DIPG Foundation at the Montreal Children's Hospital.
The Floyd jersey has been signed on the front right side beneath the team crest in blue sharpie, and the signature displays well, with “Last Home Jersey” added, as this example was worn by Floyd in 1996, and in 1997 at spring training. With just a bit of faint spot staining beneath the collar of the Palmer jersey, this pair of Expos gamers will please any collector of the defunct and highly collected club.
