Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Originating from The Great One’s time coaching post-career, we have a signed stick used by Wayne Gretzky during the mid-to-late 2000s while coaching the Phoenix Coyotes, and it comes with the added provenance of being one of the countless Gretzky treasures that originate from the incomparable holdings of collector extraordinaire Shawn Chaulk. A TPS Response model, “Gretzky 99” appears in factory graphics with Wayne’s familiar gripper on the knob. The tape has been removed from the blade so that Wayne could add a large and flowing silver sharpie signature across the blade, and it displays beautifully. Light but definite use is visible, with a few marks and abrasions to the lower shaft. An LOA from Shawn Chaulk will accompany along with an additional LOA from Wayne's sister-in-law Jeannette Brown.
