Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Featuring the man responsible for scouting and signing a youthful Bobby Hull to the negotiation list in 1951 while the future legend was still only 13, we have a late-1950s Chicago Black Hawks blazer that was worn by chief scout Robert Wilson. Featuring an absolutely gorgeous chain-stitched and embroidered full-colour Black Hawks logo over the left breast pocket, a label is present from Frank Brothers of New York on the inside right pocket, with the navy blazer displaying extremely well overall. A business card for Wilson will accompany, and interestingly, it was originally found inside one of the jacket’s pockets, with this desirable niche item a prize for the true Black Hawks or Bobby Hull collector.
We should note that the jacket is missing it's bottom two buttons, with a single detached example accompanying.
