Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017

A huge team repair on the back of Dainius Zubrus’ signed mid-to-late-1990s Philadelphia Flyers game-worn jersey is likely from damage incurred during a fight, which also appears to be evidenced by reddish-brown stains that are possibly dried blood on the lower front of the jersey. The back of the collar is vented where the elaborate and extensive team repair fixed a tear in the back of the jersey that extends down to the nameplate, and extends to the left along the top and down the left of the nameplate. Zubrus placed a bold black marker autograph on the top of the “9” on the back of the jersey which is either from his 1996-97 rookie season or his 1997-98 sophomore campaign. Most of the Nike tagging in the back of the neck is gone, with only frayed remnants on each end. The Nike logo and NHL shield are embroidered on the right rear tail. More game wear shows in board burns on the sleeves.
