Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Gold is the legacy of Jonathan Bernier’s 2008 IIHF world junior championship Team Canada game-worn jersey from the tournament in the Czech Republic. Bernier split the two games he started and maintained a 2.00 goals-against-average as he teamed with Steve Mason to backstop Canada to a gold medal in Pardubice. IIHF tagging sits in the back of the neck along with the Nike logo screened in black above “size 58” and “Made in Canada”. The IIHF 100th anniversary patch is sewn on the right rear tail. Game wear includes black marks on the left front of the jersey, including on the far right tip of the team crest, and on the left sleeve. Comes with a Team Canada LOA signed by Hockey Canada president Bob Nicholson.
There is a long loose white thread on the front left shoulder seam.
