Selected fifth overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft - the highest draft spot ever obtained by an Austrian, Thomas Vanek spent the bulk of his early career with the Sabres, along with short stints with the Islanders and Canadiens. We have a jersey worn by the Baden bei Wien native while in his only season in Montreal, 2013-14, and it’s been photo-matched. Size tagging is affixed to the collar including handwritten “3”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the famous partially-embroidered CH team crest, the V-neck sweater has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Vanek” across the nameplate in single twill. A hologram numbered GUO1119 has been affixed to the reverse “0”, with a matching LOA from the Canadiens to accompany. Visible game-use on the “Away Set 3” jersey includes large stick marks on the upper and lower front, along with additional dark marks over each sleeve. There is also a small hole over the left elbow. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, Getty Image #481922991 from April 1st 2014 has been matched to the black marks on the right sleeve and breast.
