Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
The final installment of the popular Canada Cup, the 1991 tournament featured six nations, with Canada and the US battling for supremacy with a best-of-three final. Led by Hull, Modano, Janney and Roenick, along with a rock-solid Mike Richter between the pipes, we have a silver medal won by Team USA. At 2 ¼” in diameter, the attractive keepsake features “Canada Cup” on the obverse in both French and English, with a Team Canada half maple leaf, while the reverse contains logos for each of the participating nations. Attached to the original red and white ribbon, the medal remains in gorgeous condition, with just very light surface wear present. Currently in an included 9 ½” x 15 ½” display case, the medal with case is ready for a prominent spot in your trophy room.
