Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
This nice big collection of 25 Converse NHL official game pucks dating from 1969-77 feature rubberized logos on the front paired with a screened reverse. The Canucks puck is the expansion team’s first model used from 1970-73, as is one of the three Sabres variations included here. There are three Penguins variations, two Seals variations with both California and Oakland pucks, four Red Wings pucks, including two of the 1969-71 model, two 1974-76 Scouts, both the Rockies and Barons from 1976-77), two Blues variations, as well as individual Flames, Bruins, Black Hawks, Kings, Islanders and Capitals pucks.
The pucks are nicely preserved overall with the Capitals, Flames and Bruins missing portions of the screened orange octagon reverse. The 1976-77 Sabres puck has almost all of its reverse worn off and three small holes, possibly were it had been mounted, lined across the reverse.
