Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
On the goaltending strength of Patrick Roy, the Bleu Blanc Rouge were able to defeat the LA Kings in five games in the 1993 Finals, hoisting their last Stanley Cup. This matted and framed Habs jersey celebrates that victory with “Stanley Cup” nameplate and “93” sleeve and back numbers. Hand numbered 89/193, a plaque below lists all 21 signers including Roy, Carbonneau, Savard, Muller and Brian Bellows, while a photo above features the team poised for the traditional Stanley Cup victory photo at center ice. Framed to dimensions of 41” x 43”, a hologram from AJ Sportsworld has been affixed near the signatures, and a matching COA will come with this beautiful large display piece.
In gorgeous overall condition, the remaining Canadiens that have also signed in blue marker on the back numbers of this 1993 tribute jersey are Damphousse, Keane, Desjardins, Leeman, Ramage, Odelein, Brunet, Dionne, Lebeau, Brisebois, Ronan, Racicot, LeClair, Belanger, Dufresne and Jacques Demers.
