Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Used to sell the extremely popular exhibit vending cards issued for numerous years which included endless themes, this particular original sign was used in a vending machine during the early-1950s to sell Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers exhibit cards. At approx 12 1/2" x 21", 12 different card images are shown, with the two stars names listed above along with twin 1 cent captions below and the text "Put One Cent in Slot. Push Slide in then Pull out slowly and receive card" and "Exhibit Supply Co cards". The thick cardboard sign is in lower grade, with surface scuffs, wear to the corners and a few creases. There is also some spotting, with the top border of the bottom row of cards showing a large bend which has lifted the top edge of the card images from the cardboard.
