Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Scarce and unique memento recalls that championship season in Toronto back in 1932. This ancient dark rubber puck with raised "F. King Clancy" and "World Champions 1931-32" across a green rubber maple leaf was saved by Francis Clancy as a souvenir of the Toronto Maple Leafs first Cup win. Quite possibly a souvenir available at the newly opened Maple Leaf Gardens or perhaps a one-of-a-kind piece presented to Clancy himself. Wear and chipping at the edges with a small hole drilled through to the back at the very top. From the personal collection and estate of King Clancy, obtained directly from his family with their letter of provenance.
