Penguins forward Jussi Jokinen was in on all three goals in Pittsburgh’s 3-2 road win against the Boston Bruins on April 20, 2013. The game was played in the wake of the terrorist bombings at the 2013 Boston Marathon, and the Penguins wore “Boston 617” patches with the American flag waving behind the city’s skyline on the right breast of their white road jerseys in solidarity with the Bruins, who wore Boston Marathon ribbon patches on their black third jersey. Jokinen, who had a goal and two assists in the game, signed in silver paint pen across the top of the “6” on the back of his game-worn jersey with the “Boston 617” patch. The jersey is photo-matched by an included laminated 8x10 photo from the game that shows the distinctive black mark on the team crest on the front of Jokinen’s jersey. Another laminated 8x10 photo included shows the the black marks on the front tail of Jokinen’s jersey and the black mark on the team crest. Size 56 flag tag in the back of the collar was sewn over by nameplate stitching. A Reebok patch is sewn on the back of the neck. Penguins team patch sewn inside the rear tail reads, “The Pittsburgh Penguins honor the victims in Boston, We Stand Together, 2013.” Jokinen’s dressing room nameplate from the game with the Boston 617 logo is included along with a laminated Penguins LOA.
