Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Originally drafted in the first (1st) round of the 2007 MLB June Amateur Draft, Josh Donaldson would go on to play a total of thirteen (13) years in the Major Leagues, taking the field for the likes of Oakland, Toronto, Cleveland, Atlanta, Minnesota, New York and Milwaukee over that time, winning a pair of Silver Slugger Awards in 2015 and 2016 and an American League MVP Award in 2015. Also named to the MLB All-Star Game on three (3) occasions, offered here is this Blue Jays jersey issued to Donaldson for his use during his AL MVP season of 2015. A Majestic made offering that sports a brand/"MLB Authentic Collection" jock tag sewn on over the lower front along with a size "48" fly tag underneath it, a similar label is heat pressed underneath that displays "20" (Donaldson's number), "2015" (year) and "S3" (set number). Featuring "Blue Jays" spelt out across the chest in individually sewn on layered tackle twill letters with a Blue Jays crest underneath, "Donaldson" and his number "20" is observed over the reverse in either single layer or dual layer tackle twill letters and numbers below an MLB league patch that resides over the reverse neckline. Also featuring white and blue piping around the end of both sleeves, the jersey, issued to Donaldson but never worn, features an MLB hologram numbered "HZ978855" affixed to the bottom of the "0" on the reverse that when cross referenced online shows that the piece is a "Blue Jersey Issued to Joshua Donaldson" example. Never worn, the piece is found to be in overall excellent condition with no flaws whatsoever other than some light dust marks from storage.
