Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
A product of the United States National Team Development Program who played his NCAA level hockey with the Boston College Eagles, Joseph Woll would hear his name called 62nd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Helping Team USA to a gold medal at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championships and having played the entirety of his National Hockey League career with the Maple Leafs thus far, offered here is this glove and blocker set worn by Woll with Toronto during the 2023-24 season that has been photo-matched! Both Bauer Supreme Mach model pieces that are in Toronto's familiar blue and white colourway, "Woll" identifiers have been embroidered into each piece in black thread. Sporting a classic skate lace pocket in the glove and displaying blue coloured Bauer logos over the face of each glove, both display good game-wear throughout their entirety via numerous puck marks over each piece as well as some small amounts of red post paint transfer marks as well. With each piece free from any fraying to the edges and corners, the blocker palm remains soft and free of any holes while all the strapping and lacing is in good condition and fully functional. Both signed/initialed by NHL goaltending supervisor Kay Whitmore, the gloves are both photo-matched with Getty Image #1833765060 (December 7th, 2023 vs Ottawa) to puck marks seen over each piece. A Leafs LOA will accompany the piece but which has an error on it listing the items as from the 2022-23 season.
