Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
A product of the United States National Team Development Program who played his NCAA level hockey with the Boston College Eagles, Joseph Woll would hear his name called 62nd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Helping Team USA to a gold medal at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championships and having played the entirety of his National Hockey League career with the Maple Leafs thus far, offered here is this set of pads worn by Woll with Toronto during the 2023-24 season that have been photo-matched! Bauer Supreme Mach model pillows in Toronto's familiar blue and white colourway, "Woll" identifiers embroidered into sewn on leather swatches appear over the backside of both pads along with Bauer size "XL" (36"+) labels that have been heat pressed on to the backside as well. Displaying "Bauer" wordmark logos over the face of each pad and "Supreme" in similar style over the outside edge of both as well, the pair displays with good game-use throughout its entirety including numerous puck marks over the faces of both pads and red coloured post paint transfers as well. Both retaining all their straps, the complete leg/knee channels (which show some edge fraying from the velcro), both also retain their skate lace toe ties as well. Both signed/initialed by NHL goaltending supervisor Kay Whitmore, the pads have been matched with Getty Image #2144486758 (April 9th, 2024 vs New Jersey) to various puck marks over the faces of both pads. A Leafs LOA will accompany the piece but which has an error on it listing the pads as being from the 2022-23 season.
