Jaromir Jagr received this 1,000th NHL Point award in recognition of his achievement during his 11th and final season with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jagr was 28 and on his way to winning the Art Ross Trophy with a 121-point season when he reached the milestone with his 22nd goal in 2000-01, which was set up by Mario Lemieux in a 5-3 win over Ottawa on Dec. 30, 2000. This distinctive Tiffany & Co crystal trophy stands 9” tall and is wonderfully preserved. Jagr’s name and team along with the date and result of his 1,000th point game and a message of congratulations from NHL commissioner Gary Bettman are etched on the award’s circular face, which measures 5” in diameter.
“Jaromir Jagr, Pittsburgh Penguins, Congratulations on Your 1,000th NHL Point, December 30, 2000, Ottawa 3 at Pittsburgh 5, Gary B. Bettman and the National Hockey League” is the full text etched on the face. “Tiffany & Co.” is etched on the bottom of the base.
