Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
The 18th season of play in the history of the New York Rangers, the 1943-44 campaign could be described as a lean one for the Blueshirts as they posted a regular season record consisting of six (6) wins, thirty-nine (39) losses and five (5) ties. Up for grabs here on the auction block, is this program from New York's January 16th, 1944 contest against the Boston Bruins which was played at Madison Square Garden and has been signed by four (4) including Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Bryan Hextall Plus Dutch and Ott Heller and Ken McAuley. A game that would see the Rangers pick up their fifth (5th) win of the season by a score of 8-6, the program displays Rangers player artwork by Burris Jenkins, and still includes the lineup insert on the interior though it is separated from the rest of the book along with a couple of other pages. Showing the expected spine, edge, corner and cover wear plus a few small creases and page toning, the book appears to be tear free and has been signed on the interior by four (4) men mentioned above next to/over photos of themselves.
