The year 2006 was Jacques Villeneuve’s final season behind the wheel of an F1 car. He drove the first 12 races of the season for the BMW Sauber team. His best finish was a 6th place at the Australian Grand Prix. This custom Puma fire suit was made to Jacques’ specifications and has all of the team sponsors embroidered onto the suit. The Canadian flag and “J. Villeneuve” are also sewn on the waist. The suit has Puma tagging on the zipper overlay with handwritten name “J. Villeneuve” and date/NR “009/06”. There is also the Puma reference bar code and ref “00017018” on the Puma tagging with another nearby tag having embroidered text “Jacques Villeneuve Australia GP 2006” denoting this suit was made to be worn by Villeneuve during the 2006 Australian Grand Prix weekend. The inside of the suit has the handwritten annotation “JV – 06/01”. Jacques has applied his signature on the upper left breast/shoulder area of the suit. This item is from Jacques Villeneuve's personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
