Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Frederik Gauthier entered the Leafs organization as a big-bodied center with a focus on the
defensive side of the game. Drafted 21st overall in 2013, he spent multiple seasons developing
within Toronto’s system, becoming a reliable depth option down the middle. While his offensive
production was modest, Gauthier’s size, positioning, and steady presence eventually helped
him break into the NHL lineup and play a key role on the Toronto Marlies’ 2018 Calder
Cup–winning team — the first in franchise history.
Worn by Gauthier during Maple Leafs Training Camps from 2013 to 2015, this Reebok Size 58+
jersey is backed by a team LOA. The jersey features an NHL crest on the lower collar
and a Reebok logo on the back neckline. On the front, a Purolator sponsor patch appears on
the right chest, with an RBK patch on the left. Gauthier’s number 28 is stitched on both sleeves
and the back in white single-layer twill. His name, “GAUTHIER,” is applied on a blue nameplate
in white single twill. The jersey is outfitted with a firmly affixed fight strap on the inside rear hem.
Overall, the jersey remains in excellent condition, showing no major flaws or visible wear. A solid
early-career piece from a Leafs draft pick who would go on to win at the AHL level and appear
in over 150 games with the Maple Leafs.
