Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
A true team player and a proud member of the 1950s Canadiens dynasty, Floyd Curry spent his
entire NHL career with Montreal, playing over 600 games and capturing four Stanley Cups
along the way. Known for his gritty two-way game, Curry was a dependable winger who was a
key depth piece of the Canadiens’ golden era.
This mid-1950s CCM stick was used by Floyd Curry during his playing days with the Canadiens.
The stick retains its original tape jobs on both the knob and blade. Just below the knob, “Custom
Made for Curry 6” is neatly stamped into the shaft. CCM markings are present on both sides of the shaft, standard for sticks from the era. The blue
accent striping near the bottom of the shaft shows some wear, but much of it remains visible.
The blade displays cracking, common in wooden sticks from the 1950s, yet the structure
remains sound. Evidence of game use is present throughout, with visible puck and stick marks
across both the shaft and blade, reflecting the action this stick saw during Curry’s time on the
ice.
