Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Another stellar year for The Big E, the 1996-97 NHL season witnessed the Philadelphia Flyers placing fourth overall during the regular season, advancing to the Stanley Cup final against New Jersey. This Flyers captain’s jersey was worn by Eric Lindros during the 1996-97 season, and it’s been signed. Nike and Center Ice labels remain affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Nike logos on the back bottom hem. Featuring the classic “Winged P” team crest in tri-colour tackle twill, the orange V-neck has been accented with black and orange piping along with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Lindros” across the nameplate. A signed LOA from Eric Lindros will accompany, as this jersey originates from his personal collection.
Eric has signed the reverse side of the team crest in black marker along with the Flyers trainer, with “96-97” handwritten below. Game-wear consists of a number of dark marks over each sleeve including the numbers, with burns also present. There is also some residue along the middle portion of the second “8” on verso.
