Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
After a drought of 5 seasons away from the NHL post-season, the Philadelphia Flyers would advance to the Eastern Conference finals in 1995 against New Jersey, having eliminated both Buffalo and the Rangers. From the personal collection of Eric Lindros, we have a pair of sticks used by the superstar during the first two games of the Conference Semi-Finals against New York. Identical Bauer Supreme models in solid black, “E Lindros” appears stamped on, with the sticks retaining their original tape on the blades and handles. Great use is exhibited on the pair, with wear and marks across the taped sections of blade, along with additional marks and abrasions on the lower shafts. A signed LOA from Eric Lindros will accompany.
It should be noted that the provenance of the sticks originates from a piece of affixed paper that read “1995, 2 round games 1 + 2, Stanley Cup playoffs Rangers vs Flyers”. The paper wasn’t able to be saved and was destroyed through removal. Both games were won by the Flyers in overtime, with Game 1 finishing 5-4, Game 2 4-3.
