Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

This historically important Philadelphia Flyers jersey was worn by HOFer Eric Lindros while securing his 40th goal of the season, during his rookie campaign in 1992-93. With a precedence of success set, The Big E would finish his inaugural NHL season with 75 points in 61 games. Maska Air-Knit labeling with handwritten “88” along with a size “56” fly tag remain affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Featuring the classic “Winged P” team crest in tri-colour tackle twill, the V-neck sweater has been accented with black piping along with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Lindros” across the nameplate. The important Stanley Cup 100th anniversary patch is also present, situated over the right breast. A signed LOA from Eric Lindros will accompany, as this jersey originates from his personal collection.
Eric has signed the reverse side of the team crest in black marker along with the Flyers trainer, with “92-93” handwritten below. There is a second notation regarding the provenance, with “40th Goal 4-8-93”. The Flyers would defeat the Washington Capitals 4-3 on this milestone day, April 8th 1993. Game-wear is light on the garment, with just a few random marks present. There is also a slight bend to the team crest, most likely occurring through storage.
