Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Originally drafted by the Chicago Black Hawks 199th overall in 1983, Dominik Hasek was the first European-born goaltender to lead the NHL in GAA while also earning considerable awards/accolades, including two Stanley Cups, six Vezina trophies and two Hart Memorial trophies. The HOFer also was a member of the historic Olympic gold medal-winning Czech Republic in 1998. This signed stick was used by the Dominator during the early-to-mid-1990s with Buffalo. A Sher-Wood P.M.P.G 530 model in white with blue graphics, "Hasek 39" is stamped over the shaft, with the original white now yellowing tape jobs to the blade, lower paddle and knob. Sporting a slightly tattered NHL accent sticker to the handle, the stick shows great game-use with numerous puck marks to the frontside blade and paddle, with wear to the underside of the blade and taped knob, and a chip to the upper paddle. There is also additional wear to the shaft and some red paint transfer, with blue paint transfer to the upper paddle. Hasek has signed the top of the frontside paddle in black marker, with the signature flawless.
