Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
The first European goaltender to lead the NHL in GAA, Dominik Hasek earned considerable awards and accolades throughout his HOF career and sports the highest career saves percentage in history. A six-time Vezina winner, Hasek also hoisted the Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2002 and 2008. Hailing from the 2001-02 season, his first year in Detroit in which he registered a league leading 41 wins and helped Motown to their 10th Stanley Cup in franchise history as well as the first of his career, we have a stick used by Hasek during that monumental season. A Louisville TPS model with "Hasek" factory graphics in red over the shaft, the original white tape job over the blade, lower paddle and knob is intact, with the sides of the paddle shaved-down to Hasek's specifications at the handle. The stick shows dark marks on both sides of the blade and wear to the underside, with a few dings to the paddle as well as blue paint transfer to the knob. Solid with no cracks, the stick is a prize for any goaltender, Red Wings or HOFer collector.
