A four-time MLB All-Star, Dennis Martinez pitched for the Montreal Expos from 1986 to 1993, with his crowning glory his perfect game which took place on July 28, 1991 vs Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium. This baseball signed by Martinez was used in his perfect game according to the auction LOAs that will accompany from both JSA and Mears, both dated from 2014. An Official NL William White baseball, Martinez has signed the sweet spot in green ink, with "7-29-91" and "Perfect Game" in the panel beneath. The historic orb shows light use including a few minor scuff marks. Mounted (removable) on a stand, a photo of Martinez from the match serves at the backdrop. Only 24 perfect games have been pitched in Major League history, with the perfecto thrown by Martinez number #13 on the all-time list. Also included in this lot is a signed B45 commemorative bat which has Martinez's perfect game details and signed in silver marker by El Presidente with a pair of scuffs present at the end of the barrel, one going through the "Z" of "Martinez" but still displaying nicely. An hologram numbered "SP17006" from Signature Pro is affixed to the bat.
