Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
The last winner of the James Norris Trophy before it was "owned" by Bobby Orr for eight consecutive NHL seasons, Harry Howell played in both the NHL and WHA, but is best remembered for his time with the New York Rangers throughout the 1950s and 1960s. We have a group of signed photos and programs featuring the HOFer, totaling 15. Included, the photos are all approx 8" x 10" with Howell signing in blue marker and adding his HOF year, with three different Rangers team-issued, an LA Kings team-issued, two black and white of Howell coaching, one playing days colour photo, a 1973-74 New Jersey Knights team photo, and two matching 1974-75 San Diego Mariners team photos. The programs include two different Mariners with one for the 1975 playoffs, and a Rangers program with Howell on the cover. The lot also includes a 1965-66 Rangers Christmas card with team photo inside signed on the cover, and a 2000 Heroes of Hockey Dinner & Auction menu also signed on the cover.
