Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
One of the most memorable hockey movies to date, Youngblood featured a youthful Rob Lowe trying to make it in the rough and tumble game of Canadian Junior hockey. These two jerseys were gifted to studio executives according to our consignor, with each featuring the movie’s two main stars, with a “Youngblood” jersey (Lowe’s character) along with a “Sutton” (Patrick Swayze) example. Produced by CCM with intact tagging, each garment features rubberized crests, numbers and letters, along with an additional “CCM*” logo on the bottom hem. Most likely promos, these jerseys were not used in the film as evidenced by the lack of the “C” on the Sutton garment, along with missing shoulder logos and sleeve numbers. The CCM on the bottom hem was also void on the film examples.
