Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
His fourth and final NHL All-Star appearance, Dave Balon skated for the East Division All-Stars at the 1971 NHL All-Star Game, which served as the 24th such game in league history. The West defeated the East, with Bobby Hull earning MVP status. We offer a multi-signed 1971 All-Star Game program, 1971 All-Star Banquet program/menu, and as an added bonus, a multi-signed Gordie Howe Day program from 1966, which took place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - with each item hailing from the personal collection of two-time Stanley Cup champion Dave Balon. First, the All-Star Game program is in gorgeous condition, with 19 signing the cover in dark ink, including Balon, along with HOFers Howe, Orr, P. Esposito, Park, Perreault, Keon, Bucyk, Ratelle, Cournoyer and F. Mahovlich, as well as Tallon, Smith, Neilson, Villemure, P. Mahovlich and a few others. Next, the Gordie Howe Day program has been signed on the cover by 8 including Balon and Howe, along with Bower, Pilote, Hicke, Ferguson and two others. Both the Howe program and All-Star Banquet program show just light wear. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
