Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Contributing 41 points in 63 games to help lead the Montreal Canadiens to the 1965 Stanley Cup finals, Dave Balon and teammates defeated Chicago to claim the Habs' 13th championship in franchise history. Hailing from his personal collection, we have Balon's 1965 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup championship blazer. In solid navy with an Anthony Guinta label to the inside right pocket, there is also a "Tony the Tailor" label inside the pocket with "D. Balon" and "Sept 1965" handwritten, and a beautiful embroidered Canadiens crest with Stanley Cup over the left breast. The buttons are all intact, with the blazer exhibiting just light wear. A small snapshot photo of Balon wearing the blazer is included, along with an LOA from Classic Auctions.
