Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Two highly desirable vintage NHL game pucks are offered in this lot, both hailing from the personal collection of two-time Stanley Cup champion Dave Balon. First, we have a Boston Bruins 1962-64 Art Ross game puck that shows just very light wear including a small chip, with beautiful rubberized logos. Balon was with the Canadiens during the time this puck was produced. Next, there is a NY Rangers 1968-69 Art Ross game puck with colourized team logo, with this puck also showing light wear and sporting fairly clean logos, along with a couple small chips. This puck originates from the era of Balon's time with the Blueshirts (1968-69 to 1971-72). With no notations added to the pucks, we are unsure of their history, but due to the fact that they were kept by Balon, they most likely have some significance. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
