Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
When you only score four goals as a freshman in college, it usually isn’t realistic to expect a
career in the NHL. But Daniel Winnik defied the odds. A 9th-round pick by the Phoenix Coyotes,
Winnik elevated his play during his sophomore and junior years at the University of New
Hampshire and never looked back. Over the course of his career, he suited up for several NHL
teams, including a season and a half with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he played over 100
games.
This size 56 Reebok-made jersey was worn by Winnik during the 2015–16 season with the
Leafs. It features the NHL crest on the front neckline and the Reebok logo on the reverse. The
iconic Maple Leaf crest adorns both shoulders, while his number 26 appears in blue single twill
on both sleeves and the back. There is clear evidence of game use: a noticeable stick mark on
the front of the jersey, additional stick and puck marks on the left sleeve, and even more wear
on the right sleeve, including several marks and a small hole in the elbow area. A small stick
mark is also present on the reverse band. Inside, the jersey includes a fight strap, and on the
hem is an official game-worn jersey tag with inventory number F-0207. This number matches
the team COA, which accompanies the jersey.
