Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009

Wondrous white knit Canadiens home jersey by CCM was donned by three-time Selke Trophy winner Guy Carbonneau circa the 1990-91 season. A Maska Ultrafil tag sits in the neck with the embroidered CCM and NHL logos can be found on the rear hem. With sewn-on tackle twill numbers, Canadiens crest and the captain's "C", the sweater shows nice game use loads of stick marks, burns and red and blue board paint transfer on the sleeves with more game use showing up on the lower front. This example has been signed along with a personalized salutation up on the chest. One of the best two-way players of his era, Carbo, in our book, had a Hall of Fame-worthy career, shutting down the opposition's top players in an impressive 1318 regular season tilts.
