Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
After four years at Notre Dame, Christian Hanson broke out in his senior season with nearly a
point-per-game pace, drawing attention despite never being drafted. The towering forward
would go on to defy the odds, suiting up for 42 NHL contests with the Toronto Maple Leafs — a
remarkable achievement for an undrafted college player.
What we’re presenting here is a size "58" Reebok jersey, which was worn by Hanson during his
limited 2010–11 stint with the Leafs, where he appeared in six games. The NHL shield sits
below the collar, while the Reebok logo is stitched at the rear neckline. Classic Maple Leaf
shoulder patches are sewn on both sides of the jersey. His number "20" is featured on both
sleeves and the back in bold blue single twill. “HANSON” appears in matching blue twill on a
white nameplate stitched across the upper back. The fight strap is securely affixed inside the
jersey, and along the inner hem is the official team patch with an inventory
number "A-0035" that corresponds to the included certificate of authenticity.
Game wear is visible and consistent with limited use: several stick marks are present on both
cuffs, most notably on the right sleeve.
