Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Chris Neil’s No. 25 demonstrates that it’s not just goal scorers who get all the glory. The rugged winger’s jersey number was retired by the Ottawa Senators on February 17, 2023 and he fittingly took one last trip to the penalty box during the ceremony, a nod to his 2,522 PIMs in 1,026 games. Neil spent his entire 15-season NHL career with the Senators, and offered here is his 2007-08 game-worn jersey. A size 58 flag tag hangs in the neck and the Reebok patch is sewn on the rear neckline. There are two team repairs on the right sleeve, which displays marks and board burns along with a small reddish-brown spot stain. There is another reddish-brown stain on the top of the “2” on the back and the left sleeve has red paint transfer along with marks and board burns. MeiGray patch with registry no. E03546 is sewn inside the rear tail and the MeiGray population report states the jersey is a “Red Set 1.” Comes with a Senators LOA.
