Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Soon to celebrate a century in the NHL, the Chicago Black Hawks are one of the most storied clubs all-time, with their Indian head uniforms considered one of the most attractive in the NHL. Having won a total of six (6) Stanley Cup championships in their illustrious history and also laying claim to numerous Hockey Hall of Fame inductees, offered here is this collection of game-worn/used Blackhawks memorabilia that includes gloves worn by Joe Murphy and Tony Amonte and a helmet donned by Fernando Pisani. Starting with the gloves worn by Murphy, dating to the era of the mid-1990s, the Koho made gauntlets are in Chicago's red, white and black colourway with "Joe Murphy" screened over the backside of each wrist near the palm. Having had Koho identifiers added twice over the hand, the gloves show wear via stick and scuffs marks over the outside of both gloves as well as red coloured paint transfers while black rubbing from Murphy's sticks are found on each palm also. For the Amonte gloves, hailing from the early-2000s and make by Franklin, have had "Amonte" embroidered into each and are in Chicago's red, white and black colours. Displaying game-wear via stick and slash marks over the outside of both gloves, dark rubbing is seen in each palm while a sewn on circle patch repair exists in the right palm. Finally, for the helmet, worn by Pisani when Chicago donned their 3rd jerseys during the 2010-11 season, the Reebok made bucket sports vintage style Chicago logo decals over both sides while the NHL shield is found over the lower reverse. Also having had Pisani's number "15" applied over the reverse, the helmet retains all its original padding and strapping harness and shows light wear via a handful of scuffs/abrasions and light sweat staining while being accompanied by a Blackhawks LOA.
