The Kinks’ kingpins Ray Davies and Dave Davies have each signed in bold blue marker on this cover of the band’s 1979 “Low Budget” LP album. Recorded in New York, the album was released by Arista Records and spawned the single “(Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman”. The Davies brothers founded the Kinks in London in 1963 and anchored the lineup that produced the garage rock classics “You Really Got Me” and “All Day and All of the Night”. Among the other great songs in their catalogue are “Waterloo Sunset”, “Sunny Afternoon” and “Lola”, to name but a few, and the Kinks were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Ray Davies placed a huge autograph over the first “K” in the band’s name on the dual-signed 12 3/8” square album cover, and Dave Davies signed to the right across the second “K”. The album cover has creasing on the edges, most significantly in the bottom left corner, and wear that displays the shadow circle outline of the record, which is included here. Comes with JSA JSA basic certification that includes a sticker with certification number P27539 applied to the bottom left corner of the reverse of the album. (There is a small strip of cellophane tape with "Lee" handwritten on it applied diagonally to the upper right corner of the reverse.)
