Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Twin peaks of Sidney Crosby’s amazing career are celebrated in this lot of two items that includes Sid the Kid’s 2008-09 Pittsburgh Penguins game-used stick blade from his first Stanley Cup season and his signed 2010 Olympics Team Canada limited-edition jersey that conjures up fond memories of Crosby’s Golden Goal in Vancouver. Crosby has signed in bold black marker at the top of the “7” on the back of this “exact game model jersey” that is “number 89 in a Limited Edition of 2010”, according to its accompanying Frameworth COA. The date “4-11-09” is handwritten in silver paint pen just to the left of Sid’s original tape job on his game-used wooden blade insert that comes with a Frameworth COA.
The signed jersey comes in a gorgeous “Sidney Crosby Game Model Olympic Pro-Weight Jersey Limited Edition of 2010” display box.
The “Crosby” factory stamp is partially visible on the game-used stick blade’s COA states that it was used by Sid on April 11, 2009, which was a 3-1 Penguins win over the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre.
